For long it was being rumored that we might well see the iPhone 3.0 on Verizon or other networks. But it seems like AT&T would retain Apple iPhone for now. However a comment made by Verizon’s CEO indicates that the company is working hard on its 4G network to get the 4th gen or 5th gen iPhones to its network.

Verizon’s CDMA is popular in N-America but would have been a pain for Apple to take the iPhone global with its technology.

It is believed that Verizon let go the opp to get the iPhone on its network very early on and AT$T cashed in. 4G… we will have to wait and see what happens.
